We operate under:
UK safeguarding laws
South England Conference safeguarding guidance
SDA Pathfinder Ministry child protection requirements
2. Leadership Responsibilities
All leaders must:
Hold valid DBS checks
Complete safeguarding training
Follow the “Two-Adult Rule”
Report concerns immediately
Maintain appropriate boundaries with minors
3. Behaviour Expectations
Leaders must not:
Use physical punishment
Engage in inappropriate communication, including online
Meet with minors alone
Ignore signs of distress or abuse
4. Reporting Concerns
Concerns must be reported to the Club Director or Church Safeguarding Officer immediately.
All reports are confidential and handled professionally.
5. Anti-Bullying Commitment
We have a zero-tolerance stance against:
Bullying
Cyberbullying
Harassment
Intimidation
Emotional or verbal abuse
6. Safer Activities & Trips
Risk assessments completed before all events
Leaders assigned specific supervision roles
Medical information reviewed before outings
Emergency procedures explained to all participants
7. Online Safety
Only approved devices used for communication
No private messaging between leaders and minors
All digital photos stored safely and respectfully
